The moment I saw it in a shelter magazine, I knew I would own it. A fuschia flocked chandelier? Not everyone’s cup of tea but in my eyes it was pure beauty. I had to order it from a small company in London, so shipping costs and time were extraordinary, but that didn’t matter, to me it was worth the cost and wait. When it finally arrived no electrician would install it…the connections were all European and did not sync with US wiring. Finally I found a gentleman whose main career is installing home theatres. He happened to know exactly what to do. And eureka–there was light.
To complete the gorgeous tableau, I found a Lee Jofa fabric that was white with huge, bright pink chandeliers emblazoned on the background. So of course I had to recover a chair. Now I am working on the comforter for this guest room, and I bet you can guess what the color is…and style.
